Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Senior Buyer who is responsible for requisition processing, daily product sourcing, vendor purchase order negotiations, purchase order placement, confirmation follow up, invoice resolution and expediting of purchase orders for products and services for the Mercy Consolidated Services Center as well as all Mercy entities. What you will do in this role:

• 
  You will research and source customer product inquiries and purchase requisitions.
• You will maximize the use of all available resource tools for product sourcing including the Lawson Item File, SciQuest, Bravo, Nuvia, prime vendor sources, vendor catalogs, websites and publications.
• You will keep current and familiar with active and inactive contracts and contract modifications.
• You will recommend best practice purchase order processes to customers.
• You will facilitate the building of Standing and Service purchase orders for customer departments.
• You will manage the daily inventory replenishment orders for the Consolidated Service Center.

What you should have for this role:

• 
  High school diploma or GED required, BA degree in Finance or Business Preferred
• One year purchasing or health care materials experience required

• Three years purchasing and/or health care materials experience and a working knowledge of Lawson Material Management Preferred
