Sr. Accountant

We currently have a Sr. Accountant opening based out of our San Mateo, CA headquarters. This position will report to our Manager of Accounting.

What would you do, if hired?

  • Perform month-end accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analyzing general ledger account transactions
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards
  • Review monthly financial package and reconciliation for international subsidiaries; perform consolidations
  • Ensure intercompany transactions and consolidated financials are consistent with the intercompany agreement and US GAAP
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly fluctuations in the balance sheet and income statement; investigate discrepancies
  • Partner with the Accounting Manager and Controller on analyzing and developing financial reporting metrics across business units, segments, and regions
  • Lead process improvements and system implementations to optimize the month-end close and accounting operations
  • Research accounting issues and suggest best practice
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and reporting
  • Assist team in audit preparation with supporting schedules, PBCs, and disclosures
  • Prepare accounting process narrative and document internal controls
  • Support management in ad-hoc reporting and projects

Who are we looking for?

  • Accounting professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience (SaaS industry is a plus)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent major
  • Strong solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and international consolidation
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
  • Exceptional time-management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-starter that can operate independently with general direction and take appropriate action
  • Proven track record of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Outstanding oral communication, analytical and written skills
  • Experience with NetSuite, NetSuite system implementation, and data migration
  • Advanced knowledge of G-Suite and MS Excel

Pay Scale Information

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $105,000 per year and $125,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
