The Data Analyst role will be responsible for executing a wide variety of database focused analysis activities in support of a variety of analysts and strategists. In this role, the analyst will also have exposure to a wide variety of data analysis and Business Intelligence tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, Tableau and/or Power BI and will be expected to apply these tools when opportunities arise.
Responsibilities:
Serve a multitude of functions including but not limited to: business analysis, data extractions, file creation, data analysis, report/dashboard design/creation
Consult and guide team members with data availability and data usage questions
Run exception reports and provide results to clients, vendors and peers
Research data discrepancies in source enterprise databases
Gather data requirements for reports and dashboards
Construct and execute simple to complex SQL queries based on customer needs
Execute existing jobs, update dashboards and reports based on a set schedule
Develop methodologies for aggregating results from various programs and campaigns
Confirm data integrity and perform analysis to identify trends
Reconcile disjointed data sources
Continuously look for improvements, monitor quality levels, and manage quality problems.
Education and Experience
Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology preferred
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate to advanced experience with T-SQL and/or PL SQL
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills a plus.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements; programming experience (e.g. .NET, R and/or Python)
Self-starter with 4+ years’ experience writing SQL queries in Oracle, SQL Server or another database technology
1+ years’ experience with Tableau or Power BI desired
Familiarity with CRM datasets and/or transactional email data a bonus
Familiarity with Adobe Campaign a plus
