The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst will use information from varying sources to draw business insights from current operating, financial, or market trends. This role will be responsible for a variety of projects, including recurring and ad hoc analysis, supporting maintenance and development of BI platforms, and presenting key findings to drive process improvement, business results, and improved patient care.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: Analyze operating and financial data to identify trends or opportunity areas. Create and maintain regular reports and data visualizations that highlight opportunities to improve patient care and/or business results. Develop strategies to use data to make educated business decisions, predict future challenges, and improve patient experience. Broad areas of business analysis include, but are not
  limited to: P&L performance, productivity, accounts receivable, marketing effectiveness, segmentation strategies, forecasting, predictive analytics, statistical analysis, outcomes-based-care, insurance/payer analytics, budgets, cause-and-effect, learning and development, purchasing, and competitive landscape.
• Process & System Improvement: Identify opportunity areas to streamline and improve business intelligence processes and technology platforms. Support implementation of new business intelligence technology systems and methodologies.
• Industry Analysis: Become educated on current dental industry trends and information. Identify opportunities and threats that may affect the business. Present findings in a professional and meaningful way.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Keep existing systems and reporting methods up to date. Investigate and resolve issues. Ensure trust and integrity are maintained in systems.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in ad hoc projects or analytics, as needed, to drive business performance and patient experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics and project management
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proficiency in advanced use of Excel. Experience with relational databases, SQL, and BI tools (preferably Tableau)

• Master’s Degree
• Healthcare experience, business operations or finance experience, extensive use of BI tools and SQL scripting
