Sr. Business Systems Administrator

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Sr. Business Systems Administrator to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This role will lead the financial system, such as ERP system (including subledger systems, such as Zuora) upgrade and implementation, will be responsible for providing support for key business applications, documenting business processes, creating business requirements documents, conducting training, and resolving problems with the applications.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, and to build business cases for application.

  • Maintain financial systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Documents requirements specifications for enhancements, upgrades and assists with the documentation of the requirements and procedures.
  • Test new processes, applications, upgrades, and reporting systems.
  • Provide technical training and support on all financial related systems
  • Proposes interim work-arounds and software enhancements.
  • Ensures understanding of the business functions and processes needed and documents those processes.
  • Identifies and resolves issues by recommending modifications to business processes.
  • Documents upgrades and enhancements for various sections of the applications.
  • Collaborates with other application areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
  • Analyzes workflow, process improvements, and business practices to streamline business operations.
  • Participates in evaluation of proposed software or software enhancements for feasibility.
  • Investigates, determines and documents business solutions for complex system problems in an effective, timely manner.
  • Documents as-is/to-be business processes, configuration scripts, and other associated functional specifications from end user requirements, to create business requirement documents for handoff to customization developers.
  • Interfaces with multiple external partners on system configuration, customization, and other development functions.
  • Perform special project as assigned


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field

  • Knowledge of financial systems
  • Knowledge of of US GAAP reporting requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with Zuora and Salesforce
  • 3+ years of experience gathering and documenting system requirements and documenting system functional design for business applications package solutions and related implementation issues from a functional perspective
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be well organized and work under deadlines
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with internal and external users, peers, and management
  • Ability to develop logical detailed test scenarios
  • Ability to provide training
