POSITION SUMMARY:
The Polaris Data & Analytics Organization works with business leaders and analysts across the enterprise to drive optimized strategy using data. The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for developing analytics products and enabling the broader organization of data-focused professionals to efficiently consume analytical solutions. You are an advocate for analytics adoption, creative problem solver, and a key strategic partner to the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Day to day interaction with international stakeholders to understand the business problem –prior business facing experience is must for this role
2. Innovate and design analytics strategies to solve the business problems
3. Develop analytics products using: Alteryx, Power BI, SQL
4. Drive waste out of the company by automating manual non-value-add data driven process
5. Perform business-outcome-driven ad hoc analytics to demonstrate the value of analytics
6. Identify and facilitate opportunities for the Data Science team to apply AI to the business
7. Grow and evolve skillsets on the team as the company matures
8. This role is fully hands-on individual contributor role, you are responsible for end-to-end development of analytics products starting from requirement gathering, design, development, testing, delivery, and support
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 7+ years of work experience in an analytics-focused role
2. Experience with data preparation, visualization, and processing from a diverse set of data sources
3. Highly proficient with data mining/visualization/data modeling tools: SQL, Power BI, Alteryx
4. Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and best practices
5. Experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting technical issues
6. Naturally curious and creative problem solver with experience working in an agile environment
7. Advanced knowledge of data manipulation using excel, including reporting
8. Intermediate knowledge of statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices
9. Intermediate knowledge of Python programming language
