Position Summary:
The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures. Provide high-level technical support for data, video and voice network systems, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Engineer must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems. This position is based out of Amkor's corporate offices in Tempe, AZ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform daily administration and operational support in the area of network, video, and voice.

• Assist in managing and implementation of global and regional IT network projects and refresh.
• Perform network usage monitoring and performance engineering for optimal network utilization, availability and stability.
• Perform rack and stack activities in Amkor's data centers, including equipment disposal activities.
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation.
• Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled upgrades.
• Investigate faults in the network.
• Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
• Monitor ITSM (ServiceNow) assignment groups and apply troubleshooting needed to resolve requests.
• Update tickets following documentation templates and/or guidelines to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports describing activities accomplished in a timely manner.
• Partner with different teams and report network status to key stakeholders.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of cost-effective, scalable and secure global networking solutions.
• Recommend using the latest technology on network related requests/projects/support globally keeping in accordance with company's IT and security policies and standards.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field required; a minimum of 3 years equivalent work experience as a network engineer. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, but a minimum of an Associate's Degree required.

• Demonstrated experience deploying and management of Cisco Nexus Data Center networks.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Cisco network gear, wireless, phones, switches, and routers.
• Knowledge of network technologies, such as TCP/IP network protocols, Ethernet networks, WAN, Wireless, and Voice/Video Technology (such as VLAN, IPSEC VPN, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, MPLS, SDWAN, Routing protocols, Proxy, etc.).
• Should be familiar with configuring and routing protocols (such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
• Candidate must possess strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting skills and recommend next appropriate actions.
• The candidate must have a basic understanding of other technologies (such as Windows, Linux, Storage) to assist troubleshooting incidents.
• The candidate must be motivated and self-driven for success.
• Candidate must be able to perform rack and stack activities.
• Demonstrated understanding of cable patching processes and procedures.
• Must have a basic knowledge of data communication networking.
• Must be familiar with Cisco call manager and troubleshoot Cisco phones.
• This position requires effective interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills.
• The ideal candidate must possess the ability to explain technical issues to various stakeholders.
• Must be able to interpret a customer's issue in a way that will allow facilitation to a resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with: SAP Application Support, Cisco Unified Computing Systems Platform, Cisco Unified Communications (Voice and Video) Systems, AT&T MPLS Networks, Office 365 Support are a plus.

• AWS/GCP cloud connectivity experience is a plus.
• Project Management Certification is a plus.
• Certified in CCNP is a plus.
