Sr. Manager of Web Development

As our Sr. Manager of Web Development, on the fast-growing growth team, you will drive the user experience on our global website. As a leader you understand how to create conversion experiences and customer engagement. You must be knowledgeable about the B2B SaaS sales funnel, the various lead stages, and actions to drive conversion across digital and web experiences. You will be both a coach and a player. You will have the chance to collaborate with other team members and be challenged to have a measurable impact. This person should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment.
    • Drive the overall vision, strategy and roadmap for ActiveCampaign’s global web properties to drive brand awareness, acquisition, engagement and conversions
    • Own the website as a product that helps achieve growth targets and is built on a scalable, operational web infrastructure
    • Be the technical expert to lead a team of web developers and collaborate with various cross-functional teams
    • Drive engagement, web user journey and user experience on our website
    • Ensure the global marketing website is accessible, reliable, mobile-friendly and optimized to increase conversions across multiple geographies
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to make sure that all functions are properly represented on our sites
    • Stay on top of web activity, build in-depth reports on site performance and effectively communicate insights
    • Understand web architecture and make recommendations on improvements to optimize the user experience, performance and team efficiency
    • Partner closely with growth team to improve the performance of webpages to drive traffic
    • Help evolve a modern, component-based site architecture
    • Be accountable for the core set of web KPIs and reporting cadence for all performance metrics and core web vitals to drive data-based optimizations
    • Research competition, benchmarks, and stay up-to-date on best practices
    • Ensure SLAs are met for uptime, publishing, management of all technology requirements including maintenance needs of web systems
    • Drive governance, quality assurance and consistency of website experience.

What is needed:

    • 8+ years proven web strategy experience working with a complex website that includes multiple properties and languages
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment
    • Management experience in previous roles in a coach/player role, where success is equally about what you build as how you enable your team
    • Experience building rich and interactive experiences in CMS like WordPress
    • Be able to guide the team in coding languages like JavaScript, semantic HTML, and CSS, etc.
    • Establish technical best practices for the team as it grows
    • Expert in software development fundamentals
    • Highly analytical with ability to drive outcomes in support of business objectives, can align with targets to scale a website that supports growth
    • Lead with example in cross-disciplinary teamwork and collaborating with engineers, designers, and writers to tell stories in engaging ways
    • Pragmatic and business-oriented to understand the balance between craft, speed and the bottom line
    • Familiar with marketing technologies to enable integration of the website with external tools and APIs.
