Our Team develops and sells Akamai's market leading security products to various enterprises. We specialize in delivering highly scalable network infrastructure and cloud-based network security products to stop DDoS attacks and other unwanted or malicious traffic in the cloud, before they reach applications, data centers, and internet-facing infrastructure (public or private). We collaborate with product groups, external partners to enable our customers to provide high-quality, secure internet and network access to their end-users.

Be part of making a critical difference

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will work with self-driven software development teams. You will develop end-to-end quality assurance, bulletproofing and validation of our products and features before they are released. You will streamline QA strategy by unifying methodologies around automation resulting in frequent and stable software releases.

As a Manager Q/A Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of QA professionals responsible for testing software products across all phases of the SDLC.
• Developing and executing a comprehensive quality assurance program that includes manual/automated testing, performance testing, and Integration/E2E testing
• Defining/establishing testing standards/ best practices for a complex environment supporting network security products, product with extensive networking and on-premises infrastructure.
• Defining and establishing testing standards and strategy to include CT on CI/CD pipeline (Kubernetes/Jenkins).
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure that testing is integrated into the software development process, quality is built into the product
• Collaborating with development teams to reproduce and troubleshoot issues that surface during testing
• Managing complex lab infrastructure with 100s of servers and track/publish QA metrics

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field
• Have a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including manual/automated testing with hands-on experience in server side and UI/API/Web application testing
• Demonstrate a proven ability to design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for complex software products
• Have an understanding of Networking concepts to manage network security products.
• Have prior experience of defining and implementing testing strategy for CI/CD pipeline on Kubernetes
• Possess impressive analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Demonstrate proven ability to lead and manage a team of QA leads/managers.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $134,466 - $214,782/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
