Sr. Product Manager, Extensibility

Position Overview:

If you’re obsessed with open banking solutions and extensibility tools that empower financial institutions to differentiate their brand in the marketplace to compete with the big banks, this is just what you’re looking for! As the Senior Product Manager for Extensibility, you will steer Alkami's product vision, strategy, and roadmap around our Alkami Developer Experience solution. You will work with clients, third party partners, and internal teams to create best-in-class frameworks that accommodate customer specific requirements without requiring changes to the Alkami shared codebase. In addition to driving Alkami’s Extensibility strategy, you’ll create business requirements, communicate and prioritize a roadmap, and work with our amazing teams to deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Maintain general expertise of the Extensibility solutions Alkami provides to the market, including our public facing APIs and our SDK
• Advise clients and partners on the best path to work with and integrate into Alkami solutions
• Create and maintain a strategy and roadmap for Extensibility, informed by industry trends, client feedback, and Alkami’s overall goals
• Own the complete end-to-end user experience for client and partner developers extending the Alkami platform
• Set and achieve P&L and adoption goals for Extensibility products and features
• Work with Sales and Marketing to determine messaging, packaging, and pricing for Extensibility products
• Collaborate with Partnerships team to perform build/buy/partner assessments for large projects
• Proactively engage with both cross functional teams at Alkami and third parties to execute on vision, providing actionable initial requirements for large projects
• Engage with cross functional teams to identify and support the implementation of improved processes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience working with SDKs and APIs
• 7+ years of Product Management experience
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to determine and articulate Extensibility strategy
• Proven record of aggressively delivering complex products and features that exceed expectations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
• Proven ability to effectively communicate simply and concisely with others to achieve desired results
• Comfortable with the unknown and failure, ability to quickly and competently turn high-level concepts into results
• Strong communication & storytelling skills with all audiences
• Ability to advise other product managers on how to ensure all product roadmaps consider Extensibility factors
• Demonstrated ability to execute product vision and maintain product effectiveness
• Good working knowledge of Atlassian products: Jira and Confluence
• Ability to write highly effective user stories that are actionable by development teams
• Experience managing product roadmaps and a product backlog

Desired Skills:

• Good working knowledge of SCRUM software development methodologies such as Agile
• Good Google Docs knowledge
• Good working knowledge of Bitbucket within the Atlassian Suite
• Good understanding of Product related tools and technologies
• Experience in FinTech
