Sr. Software Developer

Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our growing product development team. You’ll be working with an established team of engineers and product managers to build complex web applications using the latest frameworks and open source technologies.

You will get to work in a challenging and cutting-edge environment where you will be encouraged to refine your skills, share your ideas, and test your creative boundaries. You’ll be the kind of engineer that can quickly pick up a new product or read documentation and provide recommendations and opinions very quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently as well as in small teams to develop the best products in the market
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and scalable C# code
  • Review and debug C# applications and libraries
  • Collaborate with our front-end developers to enhance the user experience
  • Collaborate with our support engineers and customer support representatives to understand our customer’s needs, enhance usability and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Balance out your desire to ship code with your responsibility to get it right
  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring others
  • Analyze system requirements and delegate development tasks

An Ideal Candidate

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET 6, ASP.NET, IIS, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server
  • Previous experience as a .NET developer
  • Deep understanding of web standards & technologies (ex. HTTP, REST and JSON)
  • Experience developing and deploying service-oriented applications, including external facing web services with a focus on performance and partner integration
  • Familiarity with developing front-end applications
  • Understanding of unit testing tools and practices
  • General understanding of microservice architecture and message brokers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English. Must be a strong communicator and be able to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to write well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism
  • Works well in a modern agile software engineering environment (with source control, dev/stage/uat/prod release cycle, extensive testing, and continuous deployment)

Desired Experience

  • Contributes to open source projects
  • Solid understanding of Git & Git workflows
  • Built and understands what makes a good API
  • Typescript and Angular experience
  • Algolia or other search index service experience
  • Experience using Jenkins and Octopus Deploy
  • Postgres experience
  • Experience with either MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or NoSQL databases

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
