Sr. System Validation Test Engineer

About this role:

As a System Validation Engineer you will conduct validation testing and debug of all current and future Machine Learning ASIC-based products. You will be responsible for development and execution of the bringup, characterization, and validation testing (EVT, DVT, PVT, and RDT) of PCB cards and systems. You will be part of the System Engineering Team and will work closely with the Silicon Engineering, SQA, and System Software teams to ensure successful product development with aggressive product cycles.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

Develop validation plans and test scripts and conduct testing on PCB cards and systems
Automated test script development
Collaborate with Silicon Design and System Engineering teams to enable in-silicon and on-board instrumentation for efficient bringup, debug, validation, and characterization
Run benchmarks and test scripts to evaluate stability, performance, and power consumption
Interact with System Software and SQA teams to help specify diagnostic software and validation test scripts
Work with 3rd party test facilities who conduct compliance testing
Drive the debug and resolution of issues between cross-functional teams

Qualifications for this role:

BS in Electrical Engineering or a related degree
Expertise in PCB and system test and debug (bringup, EVT, DVT, RDT)
Able to create test plans and test cases, and report test results
Proficient in Python (preferred), or similar language
Experience using GITLab
Familiar with high-speed interface test and debug (PCIe, PAM4, etc.)
Experience testing lower speed interfaces like SPI, I2C, USB, etc.
Well versed in the usage of electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, TDR, spectrum analyzer, power analyzer, bit error rate testers, and protocol analyzers

Compensation:

The national pay range for our technical roles are $100,000-$500,000. The national pay range for our non-technical roles are $90,000-$470,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Groq's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
