It's more than a career, it's a callingWI-SSM Health at Home Madison HammersleyWorker Type:RegularJob Highlights:Monday- Friday: 8:30 am-5pm with some call over night and weekendsCall: 1 day a week and 1 time a month weekendJob Summary:Delivers durable medical equipment and supplies to patients’ homes and educates on the proper use of the equipment.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES• Loads vehicle and transports durable medical equipment and supplies to and from patient homes and assembles as needed.• Provides instruction/education on safe equipment use to patients/caregivers.• Provides and reviews written documentation to patients/caregivers and obtains signatures on delivery documents.• Collects payments from patients for coinsurance, copays, and self-pay items.• Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment.• Ensures compliance with accreditation expectations.• May assist with warehouse duties.• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.• Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experienceEXPERIENCE• One year experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Constant standing and walking.• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.• Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.• Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.• Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.• Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.• Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.• Occasional lifting/moving patients.• Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors.• Occasional driving.REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONSState of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin• Driving Record - Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)• And• Driver’s License State of IssuanceWork Shift:Day Shift (United States of America)Job Type:EmployeeDepartment:2921000174 Madison DMEScheduled Weekly Hours:40SSM Health is an equal opportunity employer.
