We have an exciting opportunity as The NAFSC Staff Accountant - Cash Accountant, responsibilities will involve daily cash accounting and reporting, interaction with other teams and personnel within the NAFSC, and businesses supported by the NAFSC, and other duties related to financial reporting.

As part of the NAFSC Staff Accountant - Cash Accountant position, you will be performing regular bank account reconciliations. Reconciliations should be completed as a key financial internal coordinate as well as provide meaningful financial management information to finance business partners

Key Accountabilities:

• Recording daily cash transactions and preparing weekly cash reports. Preparing and/or reviewing miscellaneous payments in online banking systems
• Applying appropriate level of professional skepticism to all financial transactions and task proposed transactions, as necessary, to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and group policy
• Performing regular bank account reconciliations. Reconciliations should be completed as a key financial internal coordinate as well as provide meaningful financial management information to finance business partners
• Reviewing, developing, evaluating, and modifying specific accounting procedures to ensure continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Prepare journal entries, load HFM and work on STAT reporting, Perform Fixed Asset reporting
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, internal, and external audit requests, and other ad hoc projects as required

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree with 3+ years in finance/accounting experience OR,
• Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years finance/accounting experience OR,
• Master’s Degree finance/accounting experience OR,
• Experience in Lieu of degree with 5+ years in finance/accounting
