Grail is hiring a highly motivated Senior Program Manager to lead a cross functional team in the development and launch of new clinical offerings, as well as leading biopharma research programs.
You will be responsible for driving a program team that will change the way that cancer patients are treated. In your role, you will be responsible for setting up program core teams and sub-teams, directing project planning, maintaining communication and alignment between internal and external teams, and overseeing the execution of development in support of future clinical offerings.

Develop detailed work plans, timelines, and budgets leveraging a complex mix of post-diagnosis NGS products, services and solutions

Lead a cross-functional team in the development of a clinical LDT offering across its value chain

Leverage domain knowledge and experience to collaborate with cross-functional development teams including Bioinformatics & Data Sciences, Laboratory Operations, Software Engineering, Clinical Development and other key departments throughout the development lifecycle

Ensure timely team completion of design history file documents throughout development, and lead team preparation for phase gate reviews and other go/no go decisions required by executive leadership

Support business development in aligning with pharma partners to create program plans and budgets for bid management, proposal generation, and iteration

Drive research program execution, working closely with cross-functional teams and finance partners to drive deliverables, milestone completion, and revenue recognition

Establish functionally integrated project Gantts and drive team execution to the project schedules

Ensure programs are adequately resourced and operating within budget

Communicate program updates to the team, to functional management, and executive leadership

Schedule, organize, and drive team meeting(s): prepare and distribute agendas, track action items, proactively manage the project risk register, and escalate areas of concern to the appropriate management entity

Minimum of a BA/BS in a scientific discipline is required, while an advanced degree is desirable in a discipline related to device, diagnostic, and/or drug development

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years multidisciplinary experience in the device/diagnostic/biotech industry, with at least 5 years of direct project management experience on cross functional product development teams

Experience with SmartSheets, JIRA, and Google Workspace is highly desired

Experience leading teams to successfully launch products under CAP/CLIA regulations is highly desired

Experience working and managing projects under design control is highly desired

Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus

Experience leading teams to successfully launch medical devices or IVD products is a plus
The estimated, full-time, annual base pay scale for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area is $150,000 - $188,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.
Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
