Monroe Street, Phoenix, AZ 85007Posting Details:Salary: $21.1538 per hour ($44,000 annually)Grade: 19Closing Date: Open Until FilledThis position is a hybrid work schedule consisting of (3 days in office / 2 days work-from-home), based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.Job Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist 3 performs various accounts receivable responsibilities for the Financial Services Unit, as assigned. typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but are not limited to: a High School Diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED), coursework, training, and work experience relevant to the assignment- Minimum one (1) year related experience/training via a professional position or accounting related college course credits earnedLicenses & Certifications- None requiredKnowledge/Understanding- Knowledge of applicable State, Federal, and Departmental rules and regulations related to accounting principles and procedures- Understanding of the fundamentals principles of accounting and general fiscal and financial record keeping practices in the performance of assigned tasks- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- Strong financial and business acumenSkills- Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously- Strong mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, average, and percentage- Effective interpersonal skills and demeanor- Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint; and in the use of Google Suite applications such as Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive- Proficient in the use of Financial systemsAbilities- Ability to clear a comprehensive background and clearance process that includes an Arizona tax compliance verification, and a criminal background check through the FBI via level one fingerprint clearance through the Arizona Department of Public Safety- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team- Ability to work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner- Ability to understand and solve problems by applying intermediate analytical skills to include collecting all the relevant information and data needed to address the problem; organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components;
