The main responsibilities of the position include oversight of the process involved in nominating applicants for judicial office and the process of reviewing the performance of judges that are appointed under merit selection; coordinating meetings, drafting minutes, and policies and procedures adopted by the Commissions. This position also assists in coordinating the JPR Conference Team process, administers the annual process for the appointment of judges pro tempore, as well as prepares individual pro tempore administrative orders, and conducts background checks on JNC applicants. Additional functions include recruiting, screening, and coordinating the appointment of volunteers to serve on Supreme Court committees and commissions.Other responsibilities include program planning, project management, monitoring, and evaluation; data analysis, public information activities, including website design and maintenance; policy development and maintenance; and developing and conducting training of volunteers.This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. In addition, this position requires four years of related experience in progressively responsible positions. Other requirements include highly effective communication and project management skills, the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional people associated with the legal system and government entities, demonstrated judgment in disseminating information and handling personnel matters; proficiency in detail orientation; and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.Travel level: up to 20%. This position requires in-state travel, including occasional overnight travel.SELECTION PROCESS:Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
