The employer contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee’s salary.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Under general supervision coordinates, oversees & processes procurement of all necessary supplies, materials, and equipment; coordinates & works to complete personal service contracts, memorandum of understanding (MOU), & amendment development for the procurement of servicesAssists in development & processing of documents for competitive opportunities;Reviews requests to purchase for appropriateness & accuracy;Enters purchase requisitions in OAKS/ OhioBuys; examines, distributes & monitors requisitions, purchase orders & contracts;Evaluates vendor compliance with contracts for quality, delivery timelines & merchandise &/or services provided;Follows Department of Administrative Services (DAS) & Office of Budget & Management (OBM) policies & procedures for procurement and asset management & ensures DVS complies;Provides compliance review for MBE/EDGE set-aside, end of year fiscal activities, reconciling encumbrances, & threshold monitoring; provides guidance to DVS staff regarding MBE set-aside (e.g., where to find vendors list, requirements for a set aside purchase, etc.);Researches & responds to complex inquiries from vendors, DVS staff, & other government agencies; reviews information for DAS release & permit requests & Controlling Board requests;Follows up with additional information when needed; prepares & supports requests as directed; purchases goods & services with payment card.Receives goods & determines if asset tag or security label is appropriate; provides assistance to reconcile physical inventory to OAKS; prepares and analyzes monthly financial reports (e.g., gathers data, makes calculations, enters data into computer, generates reports in Excel.);Examines &/or analyzes accounting records, department expenditures, reports, or other financial information to assess accuracy, completeness, & conformance to reporting & procedural standards; assists supervisor in providing training; provides input to supervisor for possible updates to policies & procedures;Coordinates travel arrangements (including flights, hotel and ground transportation) for agency staff using state payment card; ensures receipt of proper documentation & compliance with OBM travel rule prior to purchase.Performs other related accounting duties as assigned, which include but are not limited to, responding to calls of a fiscal nature & other duties to ensure operational efficiency in the fiscal section; all other duties as assigned.If you are ready for the next great step in your career……Come join us!Applications must be received no later than 11:59PM of the posting deadline date listed.
