Summary:
The Call Center Operator position is the first point of contact, which greets our callers with a personable speaking voice.
Providing first call resolution using professional telephone etiquette in an informative manner.
Operates the organization's central switchboard to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES ANDResponsibilities:1.Process all incoming calls by screening to route in the appropriate manner, following protocol.2.Speaks clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly, courteous tone at all times.3.Answer high volume of inbound calls, react effectively and calmly in emergencies.4.Keeps records of switchboard function according to guidelines and instructions.5.Takes messages following guidelines related to timeliness and accuracy and processes appropriately.6.Pages staff and makes announcements as directed.7.Announces emergencies following clinic protocol.8.Respects confidentiality of patient information at all times.9.Demonstrate impeccable integrity in a professional and courteous manner at all times.10.Other responsibilities and projects assigned by management as needed.11.Assists other departments as directed.EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION:1.High school graduate or GED preferred EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:1.Minimum of two years of experience as a telephone switchboard operator, preferably in a medical office setting 2.Skilled in screening and directing calls in a pleasant and expeditious manner.3.Skilled in efficiently operating console and peripherals.4.Skilled in customer service by pleasantly dealing with all callers and effectively servicing as clinic liaison.5.Ability to adapt and learn how to use new switchboard equipment as needed.6.Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the clinic's front-line service team.7.Ability to respond to stressful/emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.8.Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions 9.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely 10.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public 11.Moderate Computer skills is a must for Akkadian, EMR and patient information..Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
