Responsibilities:

Completion of documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, medical reviews, appeal processes and progress reports
Administer evaluations, tests, or examinations to pediatric patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments
Develop or implement individualized treatment plans for speech-language issues
Collects accurate data and makes data-based decisions
Writes reports and completes daily documentation, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients
Maintain communication with families, doctors, schools, and other relevant service providers ensuring communication related to the client's program
Creates home programs to foster an environment for skills that will carry over into the home, and educates family members about various topics, such as communication techniques or strategies
Monitor patient’s progress and adjust treatments accordingly
Maintain caseload and productivity
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and participates in all team and individual meetings
Follows policies and procedures as established by the organization
Follows company procedures for canceling/scheduling clients, as necessary
Maintains and contributes to clinic cleanliness/organization (daily and weekly)
Maintains a safe work environment and creates/maintains an orderly and organized clinic

SLP-CF or SLP-CCC
Current license from the State of Illinois in Speech Language pathology
1-year communications experience, preferred
1-year pediatrics experience, preferred
Strong knowledge of child development (specifically birth to 18 years), preferred
Experience with and passion for working with children, preferred
Personable, playful, positive, and patient with the ability to effectively build rapport with children and families
Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of internal and external audiences, ability to maintain confidentiality, positivity, and professionalism
Self-motivated with the willingness and accountability to exceed client expectations
Analytical mind and solutions-driven thinking
Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well with others, as well as independently in a supportive manner and can forge and maintain relationships
Must be willing to be fingerprinted and pass a background check
Must be dog-friendly - we have therapy dogs in the office
