Strategic and Financial Communications - Early Career Intern

In today's dynamic business environment, companies face an array of global changes that significantly impact their financial performance. When an organization undergoes changes, whether it's a new strategy, acquisition, leadership team, or disruptive industry event, timely and clear communication is paramount to engage the right investors.

At Riveron, we specialize in crafting customized Strategic Communication solutions that enhance investor understanding of a company's story, foster support for the management team and long-term strategy, and drive shareholder engagement. We take a cross-disciplinary approach, equipping companies with the tools to convey a compelling investment thesis and respond swiftly to changes in the ever-evolving investment landscape. Our aim is to position companies for success, increasing valuation while meeting the ongoing needs of boards and investors.

By leveraging our expertise, we partner with companies to effectively communicate their value proposition, adapt to market changes, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Our Strategic Communications services encompass a range of offerings, including Strategic IR Consulting, Investor Days, M&A Communications, Financial PR, IPO Communications, Activism Defense & Preparedness, and Perception Studies.

Who You Are:

Willing to work a maximum of 30 hours per week from late August through December (with the potential to extend through Spring 2024)
Must work in person at the Chicago office during business hours (8am-5pm CT, at least once a week)
Pursuing a degree in business, economics, communications, or a related field
Must be a rising junior or senior of undergraduate studies
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter and able to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Do:

Perform industry and capital markets research, including peer analysis
Conduct analysis on public company financials and draw conclusions
Provide tactical support to team members on IR accounts as needed (such as earnings)
Transcribe meetings and highlight key themes

The intern will learn about and gain in-depth experience in:

Consulting and client services
Financial communications
Industry-specific macro trends
Environmental, social, and governance topics related to the investor community
Investor relations data platforms, such as FactSet, CapIQ, Sentieo, IR Insight, Irwin, etc.
