We're up for the challenge. Are you?

The position

By joining our team in Renewables you will have the opportunity to:
  • Bring in creative and innovative solutions for environmental baseline data collection, monitoring, and mitigation measures to de-risk permitting and drive project efficiencies.
  • Identify and build strategic internal ties (e.g., project technical teams, corporate sustainability groups, research, stakeholder and permitting) to benefit Equinor Wind Americas project execution and delivery.
  • Identify and build strategic external relationships (e.g, academia and eNGOs, regulators) and establish Equinor as a trusted partner.
  • Integrate and operationalize sustainability principles and ambitions (climate, circularity, and biodiversity/nature-based design) into all stages of project plans.
  • Represent Equinor Renewables America in relevant external industry groups (ACP, NYSERDA, onshore and offshore events/conferences).
  • Maintain and update environmental monitoring and mitigation plans (onshore and offshore)
  • Support regional wildlife and fisheries research and monitoring initiatives

You

Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

  • Bachelors required, Masters preferred, in environmental science, ecology, oceanography, marine science, or environmental engineering.
  • 7 - 10 years experience with environmental impact assessments; including applied knowledge of the mitigation hierarchy on offshore and onshore construction mitigation and monitoring measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic formal and informal partnerships with a variety of environmental and academic institutions/individuals and entities.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and survey planning within onshore and offshore infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong strategic analysis, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
