Job Description:
[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeks Azure/Cloud Architects in San Francisco, CA to oversee the development and automation of the business functionality of enterprise systems using IaaS/PaaS and other cloud technologies. You will: service Avanade’s enterprise clients in modernizing their software applications and setting up services in the cloud using your knowledge and understanding of business processes, complex engineering architectures and processes, and complex problem-solving tools; deliver modern infrastructure architectures for public and hybrid cloud solutions based on the Microsoft Azure cloud and the broader Microsoft technology stack; and supervise and advise employees. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic) is expected. You must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of San Francisco, CA. Offered Salary: $183,310-$196,000. Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, plus at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or as a Cloud Engineer or Architect, or in a similar role within the IT or IT consulting industry. A qualified applicant's professional experience must include: 3 years of experience in the design/development of Cloud transformation technologies and migration solutions (infrastructure, platform, and data center); 4 years of experience providing consultative services focused on infrastructure modernization and migration to Azure (IaaS/PaaS); 4 years of experience working with Cloud Automation technologies, including enterprise or hosting provider services SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions; 3 years of experience developing data security applications for cloud-based storage services; 4 years of experience performing legacy application modernization using containers; 4 years of experience gathering technical requirements and translating them into business needs; 3 years of experience working with global onshore/offshore teams to deliver Cloud-based solutions; and 4 years of experience communicating and presenting complex, software planning information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form.
