GCS Jr. Instructional Designer

In this role, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about learning, has a strong aptitude for making complex information easy to understand, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Jr. Instructional Designer role focuses on crafting clear, engaging learning materials (communications, huddles, microlearning) for our Global Customer Service team, working collaboratively to prioritize, design, and deliver content quickly. We aim to be recognized as the best and most trusted customer experience brand in the world! 


This Full-Time position may require weekend, holiday, daytime, and/or evening hours.


This role will begin as in-office 5 days per week for the first 3-6 months and then will shift to in-office 3 days per week to ensure cross-functional collaboration.  


What You'll Do
  • Creates engaging, interactive activities and content that enhance retention and skill transfer; maintain and enhance existing content.  
  • Manage and execute training projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall goals. 
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts involved in design and development to solve business problems.  
  • Develops knowledge of processes and procedures to become a recognized source of information internally. 
  • Positively frames problems and is enthusiastic about the team’s success over individual recognition; positively cultivates a fan-first culture of delight.  
  • To maintainexpertise, assist with customer service volumes via chat, phone, and email maintaining performance standards set for contact handling.

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication styles to suit different audiences.  
  • Self-development: Ability to innovate, learn, and adjust to meet the position’s needs. Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels. 


What You've Done
  • Experience with communications (i.e., memos, newsletters, etc.), graphic design, and authoring tools (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Articulate Storyline, Web 2.0, etc.). 
  • Experience with developing learning materials like presentations, job aids, eLearning modules, or other training materials.  
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and methodologies.  
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
