Job Duties
General office assistance for the Office of International Education and Services, Study Abroad and Recruitment.
Greeting guests as they enter the office.
Filing, scanning, uploading, and indexing documents (Xtender).
Retrieving office mail from post office twice daily.
Deliver documents to various on-campus locations.
Reviewing and accepting student document/request drop-offs.
Responding to and routing phone calls.
Preparing documents for student pickup.
Generate Marketing Materials/Flyers/Visual Aids as needed.
Assist/Participate during OIES events.
Other tasks as assigned by senior staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time student at Lamar University.
At least 1 academic year remaining at Lamar University.
Good academic standing.
Must be available to work between the hours of 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Cumulative and Semester Term GPA of 2.5.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity of office equipment.
Strong command of English language, both written and verbal.
Preferred: International experience (Study abroad, etc.); Summer/year round availability
Physical Requirements
Some lifting, stretching, bending, etc., may be required.
Work Hours
19.5 Hours - Monday through Friday
Job Conditions
Primarily in-office work; may be asked/required to participate in presentations and/or other representation opportunities across campus.
