RRT (RCP II)

The RRT (RCP II) at Suburban Community Hospital is responsible for conducting respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures, working closely under the direction of the medical director and the cardiopulmonary director. Key responsibilities include assessing patients' needs, planning and implementing care, as well as documenting all procedures. The role may also lead to supervising responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor.

To qualify for the RRT (RCP II) position at Suburban Community Hospital, candidates must hold a State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License and be certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Additionally, current BCLS certification is required upon hire, along with preferred certifications in ACLS, PALS, and NRP. A minimum of two years of experience as an RCP is preferred, and an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is also beneficial.
