Your Role

As a labor compliance specialist, you will ensure all payroll report submissions adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws and requirements. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Monitor certified payroll for both internal self-perform projects and external subcontractors.
  • Maintain all necessary forms for the project including DAS-140, DAS-142, Exemption letter, DAS-7, Contractor’s authorization to Certify Payrolls, Fringe Benefit Statement, CPR, Statement of compliance, Statement of Non-Performance, Contractors Monthly Report to Trustees, Skilled and Trained Workforce.
  • Complete certified payroll preparation, review, and XML reports for upload through LCP Tracker labor compliance software.
  • Maintain company labor compliance log with daily updates.
  • Upload CPR and documentation to various labor compliance reporting programs such as Prism Compliance Management, and LCP Tracker.
  • Perform periodic audits on projects to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor labor compliance emails and identify urgent issues.
  • Review and verifies payroll records, fringe benefits, employer training contributions and apprenticeship certificates to determine compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Review all public works special requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience as a certified payroll specialist, certified payroll administrator, labor compliance specialist,  or in a similar role.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Santa Ana office; a hybrid option may be considered.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, and work full-time (Monday-Friday) with overtime as necessary.
  • Knowledge of Prevailing Wage & Davis Bacon laws
  • Experience using LCP Tracker
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to discreetly handle sensitive, confidential, and time-sensitive duties while maintaining a solid customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience working with Viewpoint Vista software
  • Previous work in the construction industry

$27 - $36 an hour
The reasonable compensation range for this position includes a new hire base hourly rate of $27.0036.00 per hour + comprehensive benefits + potential for a discretionary profit-sharing bonus.

Individual pay within this compensation range may span multiple levels within the role and is determined by assessing job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  It also factors in market demands and business needs.  The disclosed range may be subject to change or modification based on business needs in the future.
