Job Summary:
Directs and coordinates all activities of the inventory control group. Ensures optimization of storage locations for product, premiums and packaging. Oversees inventory accuracy and reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities:
- Administers warehouse location planning and ensures that storage allocation is optimized and that the warehouse management system is configured to support this.

Coordinates all inventory accuracy processes for all business units. Maintains accuracy of data in the system and prepares and monitors all inventory reporting.

Monitors all warehouse transfers and other transactions for accuracy and provides relevant and actionable reporting on these measures.

Oversees the inventory reconciliation of the JDE and PkMS systems, determining root causes for discrepancies and initiating corrective actions. Recommends and collaborates with Operations to implement process improvements.

Partners with Operations team to optimize location and item-level accuracy, to plan inventory movements and availability in a way that supports production.

Coordinates and monitors the Cycle Count program. Ensures that daily cycle counting is completed in accordance with Corporate and client guidelines.

Manages Retail and DTC product flow to ensure that inventory is available to support the orders generated. Investigates and responds quickly to Operations inquiries regarding inventory.

Coordinates the destruction process initiated by corporate and reviews product utilization, aging and shelf-life to recommend product destructions to product owners.

Coordinates the cycle counting process and publishes results. Works with supervision to analyze results, determine root cause and implement corrective action as necessary.

Leads the inventory control team and appropriately manages all personnel issues including staffing, training & development and performance management.

Helps to build a unified, effective and engaged team.

Models’ effective leadership principles and techniques that support a positive culture. Actively pursues training & development, coaching, recognition and associate engagement opportunities.

Develops and administers department operating procedures.

Maintains high-level of technical competence in field by staying abreast of latest approaches and current events.

Education and/or Experience:

Associates degree in Business Management or related field; Bachelors preferred. Otherwise, 5-7 years relevant experience supervising in warehouse or inventory management field with strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control systems. Strong analytical skills

Experience in Warehouse Management Software, JD Edwards/Manhatten preferred but not required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
