Position Summary:*
The Supply Chain Planner/Analyst position manages activities and communications for the planning of finished goods and sub-level components for our reagents and biologicals business. Candidate would be responsible to execute planning, analysis, and reporting activities in accordance with approved standards and in compliance with cost reduction company goals for assigned value streams. Functional responsibility includes all aspects of planning, scheduling, and metric reporting. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with experience in Supply Chain management as well as experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.

Reports to Senior Manager, Reagent CMO & Procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities:*

  • Organize, plans and manages production schedules according to demand, quality standards, capacity and capacity restraints to ensure that the master schedule is substantial to fill demand
  • Provides commitment dates to customer service based on schedules and capacity utilization.
  • Analyze customer demand and expedites against current master schedule to determine production plan. Communicate production plans to all levels of the organization
  • Continually monitor the sales and operations plan and customer backlog. Actively manage the dates of the backlog and assure availability of materials and manufacturing resources.
  • Analyzes customer forecast, orders, MPS, and inventory for S&OP meetings
  • Prepare analysis and reports regarding production status, forecasts, and delivery health to leadership
  • Understand overall Supply Chain constraints and coordinate activities to ensure all resources are exercised and escalated for solution if any supply gaps exist
  • Maintenance of data in ERP system as related to item master and planning data.
  • Ability to analyze vendor quotations considering quality, price, delivery, and service that meet Akoya standards.
  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy, and accuracy on price, and acceptability of items made to specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned including ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-5 years related materials management and supplier management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Experience in medical device industry is strongly preferred
  • ERP expertise; NetSuite a strong plus
  • Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position.
  • Experience with GMP- or ISO-certified operations required.
  • Effective and demonstrated success in sourcing in compliance with Quality.
  • Effective and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Demonstrated success holding suppliers accountable to task and pushing back on timelines and fellow staff.
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to process and manage large data including pivot tables.
  • Effective relationship management skills.
  • Proven effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use communication methods and strategies that influence desired results.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility, trust, and positive relationships.
  • Computer skills for practical use with email, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • CSCMP, APICS or Six Sigma Certification desired.
  • May require travel to supplier sites <10% of time.

The hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $105,00 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
