SupplyHouse.com, a fast growing and successful e-commerce company, is looking for a new Merchandise Planner to join our Merchandise Planning Team! If you have a passion for analyzing and reforecasting merchandise financial plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving strategies to optimize sales, inventory, and gross margin, we want to hear from you!


This is a remote-based role within select states in the United States. At this time, we are only able to employ those located in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.


This position will require travel to our NY office headquarters up to three times per year for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.


A company laptop and other necessary equipment will be provided along with a $250 stipend for your work from home space.


Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Remote (Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin)

Schedule: Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $70,000-80,000 (Annually)


Responsibilities:


  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities for the business, and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals
  • Manage the financial success of assigned categories by driving the business to exceed sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment, and inventory turn goals
  • Reconcile financial plans from a top down and bottoms-up perspective
  • Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and customer expectations
  • Collaborate with the category merchants to develop and communicate a comprehensive pre-season strategy that aligns financial and product opportunities across multiple categories
  • Support and lead cross-functional business meetings to identify and manage opportunities and risks in critical/milestones
  • Provide analysis related to driving business goals (e.g., hind sights, seasonality, brand performance, etc.) in weekly business meetings and monthly planning meetings


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Merchandising, Operations, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of Merchandise Planning, Replenishment/Demand Planning, or Financial Management experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Aptitude with numbers, retail math skills, and understanding of merchandise planning and forecasting methodology
  • Effective communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to concisely present complex information across multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally
  • Ability to identify, negotiate, and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Proven record in managing business to achieve financial targets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and dynamic Merchandise Planning systems
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deliverables
