Frontend Engineer

Your role

As our next Frontend Engineer, you join our fast-growing Technology & Data team. More specifically, you join the Universal Verification & Validation team. This team is responsible for one of our core products, a multi-standard platform that allows for the validation & verification of carbon credits. 

Next to writing clean and testable code, you can expect to collaborate with the backend engineers and with the product manager. You join an open and collaborative environment with a culture that fosters psychological safety. The Technology & Data team is very action focused, always trying to push the bar higher, and driven by SustainCERT’s mission of bringing scientific credibility to climate action. 

Our work takes place largely in a remote fashion. For this role, you are ideally based in Luxembourg. Applications from candidates based in other locations will be considered case by case. 

Our tech stack consists of, but is not limited to:

React / Typescript / Material-UI / React Query / Jest / React Testing Library / Graphql / Micro-frontends 

• Write clean, scalableand testable code using Typescript, React and Material-UI 
• Troubleshoot and debug software applications and resolving technical issues 
• Improve existing software 
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture 
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code 
• Develop and integrate web services using technologies such as RESTful APIs, GraphQL 
• Collaborate with the backend engineers to establish API contracts and create software solutions that our customers love  

• 3 or more years of professional experience as a frontend engineer 
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging 
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process 
• Proficient understanding of Git 
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 

• Experience with GraphQL APIs 
• Experience with React Query 
• Experience with Micro-frontends 
• Experience working in a monorepo workspace like Nx
