We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization:PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CADPosition Overview:Represents Sutter Health in a support role on design and construction projects, including new development, facility expansion, renovation, and retrofitting. Supports coordination, monitoring and reporting on planning, design, and minor construction activities and may assume a leadership role on smaller, less complex assignments. With oversight from more senior team members and in accordance with the project controls requirements as outlined in the Process & Controls Manual (PCM).The primary function of this role will be to serve as the medical equipment and accessory liaison amongst clinical, administrative, ancillary, financial and procurement departments, as well as vendors. This role will be responsible for participating in medical equipment planning and product standardization based on quality, efficacy, and contracting. They will assist in development of medical equipment scopes of work and schedule, and function as an equipment planner (excluding architectural documentation) for designated Sutter Bay Medical Foundation (SBMF) projects, MAC (Move-Add-Change) projects, and departmental Capital and Non-Capital equipment selections.The geographical region for this position will cover various locations in the Bay Area under Sutter Bay Medical Foundation (SBMF). The primary work location will be work from home, with regular and frequent travel between work sites required.• Hybrid Position (remote/on-site)*Job Description:• Hybrid Position (remote/on-site)*EDUCATION:Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.Bachelor's: Architecture, Engineering or Construction ManagementSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:• Some familiarity with the Last Planner System and its use in Lean Construction.• Familiarity with how cost estimates and schedules for small projects and put together• Able to assess typical risks to scope budget and schedule for small projects.• Some familiarity with health care construction building codes and regulations, jurisdictional approval processes, construction means and methods, construction processes and procedures, and contract implementation.• Some awareness of the state level building approval processes including the typical requirements of the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the California Office of the State Firm Marshall (OSFM) and The Joint Commission (TJC).• Some awareness of the typical building approval processes at the county and city level.• Some competence in project management techniques and software.• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as team skills to ensure appropriate communications and coordination across project delivery team, Affiliate and vendors.• Good client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations between FPS and affiliate leadership.Job Shift:DaysSchedule:Full TimeDays of the Week:Monday - FridayWeekend Requirements:As NeededBenefits:YesUnions:NoPosition Status:ExemptWeekly Hours:40Employee Status:RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $42.08 to $63.13 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
