About the Role:

The SVP of Managed Services (MS) is responsible for the overall guidance and profitability of our Managed Services business through execution of Trace3's strategic plan. The SVP of Managed Services will focus on the direction and growth of Managed Services, including Data Center Operations, Advanced Operations Support, and Network Operations Center services. The SVP of MS will be accountable for developing the Managed Services' annual business plan, consistent with the vision and objectives set by the CEO and the President, to promote revenue, profitability, and growth of the Managed Services business. This position will be a savvy cultural ambassador and talent magnet with the ability to attract and retain "A" Players that are aligned to Trace3's Core Values.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the entirety of Managed Services Strategy, Sales, & Operations
  • Support all team functions and provide leadership, skill development and mentorship for direct reports
  • Provide daily operational oversight
  • Establish and achieve performance and financial goals by guiding and managing the team
  • Evaluate and report on the performance of both the team and individual team members
  • Create and allocate budgets
  • Research and identify new business opportunities
  • Seek new business tools and methods
  • Collaborate with BU leaders & regional leads to develop and enhance business strategies and create converged offerings
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Develop and approve the department's hiring plan
  • Offer guidance and support to VPs and managers
  • Evaluate business cases, client needs, and metrics for new services and roles to grow the business for the team to manage
  • Provide executive presence to assist and resolve escalated key channel, customer, account management and sales issues
  • Meets quarterly with General Managers and collaborates with the Consulting Teams to deliver and present industry best programs and services to clients
  • Produce financial reports for the Executive Leadership team, including Executive Committee Planning and Reports
  • Communicates and supports the Trace3 vision, mission, values, and culture to ensure all employees strive towards stated company goals
  • Leads by "bringing the weather" and builds positive working relationships and networks with internal and external customers, peers, colleagues, and suppliers.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
  • A minimum of 15 years in a related services environment with experience delivering Managed Services
  • Minimum of 5 years of P&L management, budget preparation, and fiscal management experience
  • Demonstrated success in scaling and profitably growing a Managed Services business focused on predictable implementation and hitting core metrics
  • Strong demonstrated experience developing processes, helping resources learn to follow processes while still being able to innovate and be creative
  • Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operation
  • Thorough understanding of designated IT market, key industry partners, and trends in the marketplace
  • Solid management experience and track record in motivating and building a strong team
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically and horizontally within business units; able to build bridges across teams and job functions
  • Highly skilled and experienced at negotiating conflict and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills with an ability to present technical issues to C-Level Executives and non-technical audience
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results under timelines and pressure
  • Ability to travel when needed

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

$260,000—$305,000 USD
