Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Switchboard Hiring, a recruiting agency, is working on behalf of our client, a leading provider of healthcare services in communities across the country, to find a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team.
About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the financial administration of a 300+ bed acute care hospital, along with an Ambulatory Surgical Center, an Urgent Care Network, and 15 outpatient clinics. Reporting to the facility CEO and collaborating with Regional and Corporate leadership, the CFO will ensure financial integrity and strategic fiscal growth while supporting innovative healthcare services.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing financial leadership to maintain and grow hospital services and facilities.
Consulting with Regional CFO and Corporate leadership on financial goals and strategies.
Developing and overseeing financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
Preparing and managing annual operating and capital budgets.
Collaborating with facility CEOs to create business plans and ensure financial alignment.
Leading efforts to optimize the revenue cycle and contract negotiations with managed care payers.
Overseeing assigned departments, promoting efficiency, and maintaining strong employee relations.
Actively participating in community outreach and leadership meetings.
Job Requirements
We are seeking candidates with:
At least 10 years of experience in healthcare finance, including 5+ years as a hospital CFO.
CPA certification (preferred).
Familiarity with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and OSHA.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with integrated healthcare systems, joint ventures, and physician networks (preferred).
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
A Master's Degree in Hospital Administration or Business Administration (preferred).
Additional Job Details
Location: On-site, Midwest region. A robust relocation package is available for this position including full coverage of moving expenses, temporary housing, travel costs, home sale/buy assistance.
Compensation: Competitive Base salary, with full benefits, long-term and short-term bonus eligibility.
