Sydecar is seeking a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager to lead our mission of enabling thousands of new investors to do what they do best — identify and back entrepreneurs who are changing the world.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the product experience for our Platform Team, owning mission critical infrastructure that will support all of our products and users. If you are passionate about building the infrastructure to power private markets, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City with in-office attendance of two days per week.
What you'll do
In collaboration with a design and engineering team you will power our core products and build out tooling for internal users, including experiences such as currency support, banking redundancy, and operations.
Manage the Platform Team’s roadmap by driving discussion and alignment relative to prioritization, resource allocation, and strategic goals.
Model and shape a best in class product development process, from ideation, to validation, to launch, and post-launch analysis.
Strengthen your understanding of the fintech industry, private market landscape, and competitive trends to ensure our products remain a leader in our space.
Conduct market research and collect customer feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for future product development efforts.
Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including C-suite executives and clients, by effectively communicating and aligning on product strategies, prioritization, and ensure all stakeholders understand the roadmap and its rationale.
What we're looking for
Experience in a formal Product Management role working with design and software engineering teams on a complex software solution.
2+ years experience as a Product Manager in fintech or financial services.
Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited university.
You love getting the best out of your cross-functional partners. You’re an adaptable Product Manager that values collaboration, seeks alignment, and thrives across all aspects of product development, from brainstorming with design to getting in the weeds with engineering.
You are curious and a relentless problem solver. You are excited to learn about the rapidly changing alternative investment space. You strive to deeply understand customer pain points and are excited to synthesize the business’ insights into an actionable plan.
You constantly seek out data and user feedback. You prioritize the user’s perspective and continuously validate business ideas. You define and analyze metrics to validate your hypotheses and measure impact.
You know the value of crisp, detailed communication. You know how to articulate the why as much as the what. You know that storytelling is a powerful tool to drive alignment and understanding.
You know how to effectively prioritize. You are comfortable working with limited information to set objectives, develop strong hypotheses and make decisions. You are comfortable driving cross-functional alignment on our priorities—from the backlog to a 12 month roadmap.

You are process-oriented. You are well-versed in best practices related to processes, habits, and rituals, consistently delivering high-quality work that your teammates can rely on.
You are a systems thinker. You consider both the whole and the individual parts simultaneously. You enjoy solving logic problems and are skilled with data analysis, workflow mapping, and building for extensibility.
