System Architect, Brazil

We are looking for a System Architect willing to tackle technical challenges on Drupal and Digital Customer Experience platforms. In this position, you will be part of our team in our development center in Brazil and will technically lead and design solutions, working closely with teams and clients in the UK, Europe and Brazil. You need advanced and/or fluent proficiency in English to communicate with these different teams and clients during the workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining a technical relationship with our client’s technical team to make sure that all requirements (functional and non-functional) are being met. In addition, it’s expected that you would guide and train our team towards the best development and software engineering practices;
  • Develop APIs for consumer-oriented solutions using PHP, Drupal and Symfony;
  • Develop and maintain test automation solutions;
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD solutions;
  • Guiding and knowledge sharing;
  • Support our recruitment process when necessary;
  • Ensure that solutions are following security and performance best practices;
  • Create & maintain design and other documentation required by the client;
  • Make technical decisions together with the development team;
  • Bring innovative solutions for technical problems;
  • Be the technical advisor for the development team and help to train other team members;
  • Communicate and negotiate technical decisions with the customer staff. Be able to present and advocate on the solution;
  • Document technical decisions and generate artifacts and diagrams whenever necessary;
  • Create and manage the technical roadmap of the project, including technical dependencies;
  • Manage technical risk and communicate them to the management team;
  • Evaluate the team’s performance accordingly to CI&T’s architectural framework;

Requirements for this challenge:

  • Experience with a wide variety of projects either creating large scale solutions or delivering complex projects;
  • Knowledge in design and systems architecture;
  • Experience integrating complex systems;
  • Capable to manage functional and non-functional architectural activities;
  • Has solid knowledge in continuous delivery and continuous integration to deliver software incrementally and in an agile way;
  • Able to work with different technologies and learn every day;
  • Able to share the knowledge with more junior team members and with non-technical managers
  • Experience PHP, Python, Java or backend programing languages;
  • Experience working with different programming paradigms (OOP, Functional and Procedural);Experience with Git and SCM;
  • Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Acquia,etc)
  • Strong DevOps and Software Engineering skills;
  • Open to work with different frameworks, design patterns, and paradigmsWillingness to be involved in open source projects;
  • Native/Fluent or advanced English skills;

Nice to have:

  • Microservices, system security, networking, public cloud or data center, monitoring, tools for log analysis, relational and non-relational databases, linux, docker, service orchestration;
  • Infrastructure in public clouds such as AWS, Azure or GCP;
  • Knowledge of Drupal, Symfony and PHP;
  • Knowledge of non-functional requirements (performance, security, privacy, GDPR and etc);
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns, Clean Architecture and Clean coding;
  • Knowledge of unit, integration and E2E testing.
