Operations Research Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Duties • Develops and applies ORA-based analytical processes, methods, and tools to provide analysis, review, planning staff support, coordination, research, analysis, evaluation, document preparation, and briefings. • Collaborates with other team members to evaluate strategic guidance originating from higher echelons, then defines parameters for, develops, and applies ORA-based analytical models.• Contributes to integration of strategic assessment findings into the specific forms required by the DoD program planning process.• Defines a detailed program of incremental activities and milestones; and translates these requirements and objectives into specific projects plans, schedules, and deliverables.• Ensures all analytical approaches and findings are captured in forms that serve to document and justify the accuracy of results, and to capture work efforts/work products for the team's and the Command's knowledge base. Requirements Conditions of Employment• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.• Three year trial/probationary period may be required.• The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 10% of the time.• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counter intelligence scope polygraph exam.• This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.• The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
