The Net Technical Assessment Group (NTAG) within SPA specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the Department of Defense (DoD). One of those clients is the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). SPA provides OUSD(R&E) decision support to restore technical overmatch of the U.S. Armed Forces. SPA personnel are deeply integrated into every aspect of the OUSD(R&E) and provide critical support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain technological superiority in the future. This role will be onsite in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities:
SPA has a near-term need for a passionate and dedicated professional with a demonstrated record of success in the application of administrative principles. This position will support the Defense Innovation Board (DIB). Candidates will engage directly with senior DIB stakeholders and their staffs. Successful candidates are expected to be detail-oriented and have efficient time management skills while effectively multitasking. This work will require the preparation of minutes, reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations. The individual will maintain and execute executive schedules by planning, scheduling, filtering, and prioritizing meetings, conferences, and teleconferences, and by organizing senior leader travel. Candidates should expect to use information technology tools (portals, etc.) for supporting the compiling and execution of budget-related actions and tracking tasks and workflow. Successful candidates will quickly be rewarded with additional opportunities.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or other relevant field) with 5+ years of administrative experience.
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (TEAMS, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and OUTLOOK), Adobe Acrobat PDF, and strong command of current internet and online / software-based programs for scheduling, tracking, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of administrative principles, of creating and using knowledge management tools to track tasks and workflow, of being detail-oriented, and of having efficient time management skills while effectively multitasking.
  • Demonstrated ability writing clearly and concisely, to include the proper use of grammar and creating logically-correct content.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD SECRET clearance.
Desired:
  • Current DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: event planning, web content management, inventory management, filing and retrieval systems, DoD’s Defense Travel System, or CATMS.
