What to Expect
At Tesla Toronto Automation, we design, build and service custom highly automated, high-volume manufacturing machinery that will help Tesla accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Our location is currently looking for a Machinist to setup and operate our CNC Mills, 3, 4 & 5 axis.
This position will be for the second shift: Monday to Thursday 4:00pm to 1:30am and Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm.
What You’ll Do
Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla
Operate CNC Mills such as Mazak, Hardinge, Grob & Mikron to produce unique quantities of parts
Review electronic or paper blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications
Machine materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic and other materials
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
Assist in other work areas to perform fabrication, assembly, maintenance and other duties when required or as business needs change
What You’ll Bring
Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC machining equipment & automation or equivalent experience
Familiar with Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens & Heidenhain controls
Apprenticeship or toolmaking background would be an asset
Must be able to adhere to standardized processes put in place to successfully machine parts
Candidates need to have basic computer knowledge and skills
Must have basic hand tools and toolbox
