Global Chief Revenue Officer

This is a retained search by Talence Group. This leader will need to travel at least one week a month to the headquarters located in Spokane, Washington. Additional travel as needed in this leadership role.

What our client needs...

Our client needs a strategic and growth-focused Chief Revenue Officer to scale revenue and accelerate the next phase of innovation in the $50B backup power market. This leader will bring a proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive revenue strategies, demonstrating expertise in both go-to-market execution and strategic planning that balances innovation with long-term business goals. The ideal leader will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial markets, particularly in data centers, backup power generation, and mission-critical infrastructure. Success in expanding market presence across international regions, particularly Europe and Asia, is highly valued.

This leader will excel at building high-performing, cross-functional teams, mentoring future leaders, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. What you will do…

Revenue Growth Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategic roadmap focusing on high-growth markets.
  • Identify and capitalize on market expansion opportunities, particularly in emerging industries such as data centers.
  • Diversify revenue streams to reduce reliance on volatile natural gas market and exploring new growth opportunities domestically and internationally.
  • Leverage data-driven insights and ERP advancements to improve forecasting, market responsiveness, and decision-making.
  • Drive product innovation and expansion into new markets.

Sales & Business Development Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global sales team focused on strategic accounts and long-term partnerships.
  • Drive lead generation and customer acquisition strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key OEMs and industry leaders to expand market influence.
  • Implement innovative sales methodologies and digital sales channels to enhance efficiency and customer engagement.

Marketing, Brand Position & Demand Generation

  • Oversee global marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Drive targeted demand generation campaigns, leveraging data analytics and customer insights.
  • Align brand messaging with corporate goals, sustainability, and industry leadership.
  • Develop digital marketing initiatives that attract and retain customers in high-value markets.
  • Enhance content marketing, PR, and thought leadership to solidify brand authority.

Sales Operations, Forecasting & Profitability

  • Implement advanced revenue operations (RevOps) frameworks to streamline sales processes and forecasting.
  • Utilize predictive analytics to improve revenue visibility and align sales efforts with business objectives.
  • Develop pricing models that balance profitability with customer value.
  • Introduce data-driven decision-making to optimize sales performance and operational efficiencies.
  • Strengthen financial forecasting models to support long-term revenue growth initiatives.

Customer Success, Retention & Account Expansion

  • Lead customer success initiatives focused on long-term engagement and retention.
  • Develop customer lifecycle strategies that enhance satisfaction and increase recurring revenue.
  • Implement a customer-driven innovation strategy by collaborating with R&D and engineering teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to ensure evolving needs are met and exceeded.

Cross-functional Leadership & Executive Alignment

  • Align revenue operations with the executive leadership team and corporate vision.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that values innovation, accountability, and agility.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to break down silos and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement change management strategies that drive organizational adaptability and growth.
  • Develop and mentor future leaders, ensuring strong succession planning within the organization.

what you need to bring…

must-have:

  • 15+ years of executive leadership (Director & above) experience including revenue management for a manufacturing, industrial, or energy-related sector company.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic growth and scaling from $50M+ to $200M+, expanding into new markets such as data centers and other industrial applications.
  • Expertise in go-to-market (GTM) strategiesRevenue Operations, and enhancing revenue predictability.
  • Exceptional sales and account management team leadership & development, with success in high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced expertise in strategic planningmarket expansion, and customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional alignment with engineering and operations to support revenue growth.
  • Experience aligning with the CEO and board on revenue strategies and market expansion plans.
  • Ability to operationalize revenue strategy, transitioning from organic growth to structured, scalable revenue models.
  • Track record of successful change management in traditional business environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or Strategy.
