Team Assistant to Founders

At Freetrade, we believe investing should be accessible to everyone. It's one of the best ways to grow your savings but, for many, it seems complicated, expensive, and out of reach.

We're a technology company that brings simple investing to everyone. We've built a beautiful app to buy and sell shares and ETFs in a fluid, mobile-first experience.

We're building a team with diverse and unique perspectives in order to help us on our mission to demystify investing, making it more accessible.

Our goal is to help our customers achieve better, long-term financial outcomes.

In 2022, we're rolling out our app across the EU, transforming our product with new features and functionalities, and introducing new products. In the UK, we now have over 1.3m registered users, offering a range of products like the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and our premium account, Freetrade Plus. Our media brand, Freetrade Honey, offers daily insights alongside deep dives into the companies and trends that the new generation of investors care about most.

This has all been possible because of the backing of a passionate group of over 10,000 crowdfunding investors. As we've scaled, we've also raised money from world-class growth investors including Left Lane Capital, Molten Ventures, and L Catterton to supercharge our growth.

We're now looking for a Team Assistant to work directly with our Co-founders, Adam Dodds CEO and Viktor Nebehaj, CMO. You will be responsible for coordinating their schedules, going above and beyond to provide a best in class experience, enabling Freetrade to run more efficiently day to day.


What you'll do:

  • Prioritising and managing their diaries, rescheduling meetings, making sure time is carved out for managing their team and for non-meeting work.
  • Preparing slides for presentations; arranging transport, accommodation and meeting rooms; tracking and follow-up on meeting actions.
  • Determining whether a meeting is worth taking, obtaining a clear agenda, ensuring it's an appropriate length, and taking introductory phone calls when needed.
  • Administering and creating meeting agendas, taking minutes & actions at meetings, filing expenses and other general support.
  • You'll need to manage your own time to best support the team and how to prioritise their unique needs. There will also be opportunities to get involved in research project work and other initiatives across the business that interest you.
  • You will be required to step in to aid other members of leadership as and when required, as well as partaking in event planning, some adhoc office management duties to enable the smooth running of the team & business.

Apply if you:

  • Have worked in a fast-paced/scale up business previously with ever-changing priorities and as a minimum, worked with one key member of the executive team.
  • Do not shy away from change - we need someone who can thrive with changing requirements. We move quickly, we need you to keep up and always be one step ahead!
  • Are incredibly organised.
  • Learn quickly and ask incisive questions to gather the context you need.
  • Are intellectually curious and interested to know more about the world of FinTech.
  • Have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to write and adapt style to different voices and audiences.
  • Are hands-on: focussed on execution, removing ambiguity, and comfortable making and acting on decisions.

Logistics:

The application process consists of a phone interview with the Talent Team. This is followed by a short task, an interview with our Chief of Staff, and a final round with our Co-Founders.
