Team Leader – 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensuring all team members are properly trained
• Planning assigning, and directing work according to production schedule
• Partner with Production Supervisor to review and approve daily attendance records
• Partner with Production Supervisor to conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary action for team members
• Encourage associates to participate in Kaizen and lean initiatives
• Ensures correct Visual work instruction (VWI), Documentation, and tools are present and used in accordance with Production Basics
• Ensures cell start up checks and documentation is completed
• Visits each cell every hour to ensure cells are meeting hourly production rates. If not, ensure escalation process is being executed
• Take immediate action to identify defective products, limit production loss, and initiates escalation process
• Responsible for documenting all defects, scrap and proper disposition according to company guidelines (VWI)
• Performs machine down time investigation and makes first level repairs.
• Audit and leads assigned cell’s Rapid Problem Solving according to production basics
• Lead shift change communication with next shift team leaders
• Audit TPM activities according to production basics and takes necessary actions to guarantee activities are completed
• Start-up and shutdown of assembly equipment in accordance with procedure
• Changes assembly equipment in accordance with the production schedule
• Documents all assembly setup and supports recording of downtime
• Prepares fixtures for storage at the completion of a production run
• Performs duties as an Operator, Material Handler or back-up Production Supervisor as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Pass basic mechanical and electrical aptitude evaluation
• Strong understanding of Production Basics
• Basics computer skill

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
