Technical Broadcast Production Intern

Rooster Teeth is looking for a Technical Broadcast Production Intern to join our Rooster Teeth team in Austin, TX!

The ideal candidate would have a passion for and knowledge of YouTube, digital entertainment, video games, and the world of social media influencers. The candidate would also have a proven track record of completing projects efficiently, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to think outside-the-box to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional organization. In your time with us, you will learn how to stream and live cut a multi-cam/stream production, troubleshoot and build streaming workflows. You will use your creativity to solve real problems and apply what you have learned at school directly to your internship, while building professional relationships that could lead to a career and lasting friendships.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside production leads and producers on a multiple of live and pre-recorded shows
• Coordinate, set up and operate live streams
• Curating/preparing media for in-show use
• Managing the delivery of recorded media
• Operating within a broadcast multi-cam production or remote live stream production and
• other studio functions
• Have some fun and learn some new ways of doing things

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years working in a professional entertainment environment
• Has experience editing in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Must have an understanding of video file formats, video analysis and metadata
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills including specific editing workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment & accept feedback/notes on work
• Desire to further improve skills and techniques to grow as a producer
• Able to lift and store equipment of up to 50lbs
• Strong will and self-motivation to take on projects and complete tasks on time
• Has a strong understanding of New Media and today’s top trends and platforms
• Love of pop culture (comics, movies, anime, games) is a big plus
