Technical Product Manager, ML Platforms

SambaNova Systems is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product definition and requirement gathering for our machine learning platforms in NLP and Computer Vision technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background with a strong customer-centric approach to product management, which has been repeatedly demonstrated through past projects.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with the product team to understand business goals and how user understanding can address those needs.
• Work closely with a cross-functional team of engineering, ML, QA, and Customer engineering on a daily basis to communicate requirements and set priorities.
• Translate customer, market, and business requirements into technical requirements at a user story level, and work closely with technical teams to clarify those requirements.
• Drive technical requirement definition based on customer and business requirements by carrying out research on competitive landscape, and common development trends.
• Contribute to market research, competitive analysis, technology trends research, business metrics, and ROIs to inform platform product direction.
• Contribute to shor_, mid_ and long term user understanding vision and strategy.
• Contribute to product definition and roadmap to achieve business goals.
• Define and track metrics to measure product quality and business impact.
• Communicate product status and impact to internal teams, stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, data scientists, TPM and other product managers.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with at least 3 years of industry experience in large language models, computer vision, or MLOps, /PhD is a plus
• 5+ years experience in Product Management with experience in woking with technical teams
• 5+ years experience shipping AI/ML products in NLP or Computer Vision products
• Strong ability to translate high-level customers' needs to detail technical requirements and committed to flawless execution
• Experience with APIs and familiarity with software solution architecture and infrastructure
• Experiences in drafting product requirements working with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban framework
• Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Working knowledge of SaaS AI platforms like Google's AI Platform, AWS Sagemaker, and Microsoft Azure is preferred
