Technical Training Manager

Deep Instinct’s Training and Learning Center empowers our customers, partners, and employees by providing effective, engaging training and certifications. We are seeking a Technical Training Manager to help deliver on this mission.

You’re a creative and strategic thinker, an effective communicator, a dynamic facilitator, and an excellent project manager. You have in-depth instructional design experience and feel comfortable engaging with employees at various levels within an organization. You’ll utilize data and feedback to enhance our current offerings and build upon existing processes to create scalable programs that enable our internal and external learners for success.

What You'll Need:

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience developing technical training materials
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in instructional design in high-tech companies. Cybersecurity experience is a bonus
  • Contribute to ongoing process management and program improvements
  • Maintain high quality work standards with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to drive new processes and lead change management
  • Proven project management experience

Professional Skills

  • Instructional Design: Working knowledge of how cybersecurity professionals learn. Can translate learning needs into training assets that measurably achieve required objectives
  • Graphic Design: Ability to layout content, apply corporate style guides, and edit images
  • Communication: Crisp, compelling, and practical style of writing, editing, and speaking
  • Confidence: Credibly and confidently work with C-Level Executives, technical learners, Sales reps, Sales leadership, Product Management, Product Marketing, Development/Engineering, Professional Services, and Support
  • Facilitation: Collaboration skills that drive high levels of participant engagement
  • Initiative: Ability to solve problems and ask for help when needed to independently move self and projects forward in a fast-paced culture

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
  • Comfortable with Windows and Linux command line interfaces
  • Good understanding of Administrative OS tasks such as understanding and modifying file permissions, creating startup services, and investigating running processes
  • Experience working on remote systems
  • Ability to read and run scripts provided by developers (python)
  • Ability to perform basic technical troubleshooting and issue analysis
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Experience with Camtasia

Salary Range: $90,00 - $120,000

This salary range represents Deep Instinct’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Deep Instinct may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Deep Instinct’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Deep Instinct’s business and other operational considerations.

The range listed is just one component of Deep Instinct’s total rewards package for our employees. Other rewards may include annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position. Responsibilities::

What you’ll do:

Design and Develop Training

  • Individual Contributor Role
  • Provide leadership, technical project coordination, and program guidance
  • Liaise with cross-functional work teams, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop course specifications and gather course content from a broad range of teams across the enterprise
  • Design engaging learning activities and compelling course content which match instructional goals; develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to elicit the best content, value, and training performance
  • Create repeatable technical demonstrations that reinforce learning objectives
  • Prepare supporting materials and media

Deliver and Implement Training

  • Implement learning programs across a wide variety of audiences, cultures, and time zones
  • Deliver recorded e-learning and live instructor-led training courses
  • Deliver single-instructor training or manage deliveries with multiple SMEs presenting
  • Promote learning programs to internal and external audiences

Evaluate Training Impact

  • Develop and maintain evaluation programs which measure learner performance and training impact
  • Support learners through the learning process
  • Provide reports for certification review

Utilize Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Design a learning program in the LMS
  • Manage training assets
