We have an opportunity for a Program Manager to join the Digital Strategy Project team. Right now, the Digital Banking team is working on a project to expand our digital presence through cutting edge technologies, and you can be on the front line of this entrepreneurial project. This is a special team and a unique experience on the front line of entrepreneurial projects located downtown in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Program Manager , you will be integral in providing a foundation which supports speed of development and unique customer experience to a digital solution. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to effectively participate with cross-functional teams and customers in collaborative design and development activities dealing with complex applications and challenges. You will be detail oriented, focused on delivering high quality deliverables, have a passion for the field of digital solutions, software development, and possess customer empathy with a drive to create outstanding customer experiences and improved solutions.
The Program Manager will:
Collaborate with IT and business units to develop solution roadmaps that outlines the delivery of capability for the organization through IT/business programs
Deliver strategic programs and IT/business projects, by leading multidisciplinary delivery teams, managing budgets, and delivering against timelines
Manage risk, monitor and report on progress of the program/projects
Work closely with vendors on program/project delivery
Manage and support project communications at all levels
Ensure project documentation is maintained, securely stored, and disseminated to appropriate team members, end users, support personnel, and key partners
Develop detailed project plan/sprint schedule and control
Resolve multi-functional project issues
Manage project progress and performance
Identify and track project dependencies and critical path
Conduct project retrospectives / post-mortems and lessons learned
Perform project close out activities
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of project management, including methodologies, processes, tools, scope management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management.
Advanced experience in solution identification and assessment, vendor selection, and creation of business and financial cases.
Excellent strategic planning, risk management and change management skills.
At least 6+ years of experience in project management processes, methodologies and tools, resource and change management practices and techniques or other directly related experience; and, requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
Must have excellent leadership, management, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues.
Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and budgeted costs.
Advanced negotiation and facilitation abilities.
Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to anticipate, create, and manage change.
Working knowledge of departmental specific processes, computer applications or other project related knowledge.
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Location:
This position requires regular face-to-face interaction with teams, business stakeholders, and executives in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office at the Zions Bank Building and 2 days at home if you are within the Salt Lake area.
