Our Enterprise Technology Operation’s (ETO) testing center of excellence team, Integrated Testing Resilience (ITR), is looking for a self-motivated QA Test Engineer . The successful candidate will not only have strong test automation skills but will be a thought leader with the ability to strategize.
The Engineering and Core Services organization is at the heart of innovation at Zions Bancorporation. We continually modernize many of Zions’ key banking applications and its banking core. In addition to application development, we manage the key platforms, services, and processes which enable modernized engineering and IT operations and delivery through DevOps and lean principles. This QA Test Engineer will also have the following responsibilities:
Write code, scripts, or procedures to test systems and/or controls
Ensure proper procedures and controls are in place throughout the development process
Review engineering deliverables
Report and track issues
Plan, design, and develop appropriate automated tests for all areas of responsibility
Design, develop, set up, implement and maintain automation frameworks, automation development strategies and automation architecture
Oversight of technical work of other test automation engineers
Code review and compliance to automation standards of both onshore and offshore teams
Participate in improvement of automation standards and ensure implementation with offshore and onshore teams
Stay abreast of functional changes that would affect regression suite(s), and ensure that these are considered in the maintenance of the suite(s)
Champion quality and automation within the enterprise
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of programming, developing automation, creating automation frameworks or other directly related work experience
Extensive experience with software automation tools, software design methodologies, automation frameworks, platforms, related systems, and technologies
Proficient in SQL and relational databases
Extensive experience with REST and SOAP services
Must have strong analytical, organizational, problem resolution, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with BDD and TDD practices
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related discipline
Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations
Effective time management and work ethics required
Strong attention to detail
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
