As a Manager, Business Development at Tegus, your mission is to lead a high-performing team of BDRs who position the Tegus platform to prospects and deliver highly qualified leads to the sales team. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, continuous training, and ensuring the growth and success of the team. You must share the mindset that our BDRs are the lifeblood of the company, work diligently to develop your reps into the next generation of Tegus superstars, and continuously improve the BDR organization. As the very first Manager-level hire, you will have the opportunity to make an outsized impact on the evolution of the organization as we design effective systems and processes that will scale as the team grows rapidly in 2024 and beyond!


Responsibilities
  • Hire, onboard, train, and retain a team of Business Development Representatives.
  • Motivate the team to exceed goals through strong mentorship and coaching.
  • Define and align team goals, strategy, and tactics to our go-to-market initiatives.
  • Design and implement incentives to drive performance.
  • Identify methods to optimize workflows and the use of tools to improve rep efficiency.
  • Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that help the team focus on improving performance.
  • Collaborate with functional leadership across Tegus to optimize pipeline generation.
  • Build new onboarding and training programs to level up BDRs quickly.


Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of sales experience including a BDR role, a closing role, and a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to spot talent, hire and grow BDRs to be sales rockstars.
  • Passion for training, mentorship, and new process development.
  • Mastery of selling tools (Salesforce, Outreach, UserGems, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Experience driving change in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Humility, a sense of humor, and proven people skills to foster a strong team.
  • Big-picture thinking and not content with the status quo.
  • You are approachable, a natural problem solver, and have grit -- a natural leader.
  • Previous experience working in software sales is strongly preferred; financial services experience is a plus.
