We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join a business technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing software and IT invoices, creating shopping carts within SAP Ariba, and ensuring accurate and timely billing operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in SAP Ariba.Key Responsibilities:• Invoice Processing: Review and process software and IT invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.• Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and terms.• Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely payment.• Shopping Cart Creation: Create and manage shopping carts within SAP Ariba for software and IT purchases.• Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained and documentation is complete.• Monitor the status of shopping carts and follow up on pending approvals.• Billing Operations: Generate and distribute billing statements to clients and internal departments.• Reconcile billing accounts and resolve any discrepancies.• Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and documentation.• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on billing activities, including invoice aging, payment status, and outstanding balances.• Analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.• Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.• Customer Service: Respond to billing inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.• Provide support and training to internal teams on billing processes and SAP Ariba usage.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts payable, or a related role.• Proficiency in SAP Ariba and other accounting software.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in the software or IT industry.• Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.• Certification in SAP Ariba or related systems.Benefits InformationEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
