Position Description
Perform all phases of interior and exterior maintenance painting on general campus buildings.
Clean and prepare all surfaces before painting and perform any needed surface repairs. Preparations may include pressure washing,
caulking and glazing, and patching. Apply appropriate primers, paints, sealers, stains, and other finishes as needed. Maintain a clean
and safe job site at all times. Maintain all tools, equipment, and materials in safe and operable condition. Work at heights up to 90
feet. Safely operate scaffold, lifts, and swing stage as needed. Use all appropriate safety equipment and procedures for fall
protection and personal protection. Work in occupied buildings with minimal disruption of campus activities.
Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors regarding progress of work. This temporary position maintains
coatings of campus buildings, including preparation of surfaces, application of coatings, and maintenance of equipment.
This temporary assignment will be from 6/12/2023 until 9/15/2023.
Qualifications
Experience as a painter with an understanding for surface preparation, paint selection; OR an equivalent combination of education
and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Ability to lift or otherwise
move up to 50 pounds. Work at heights up to 90 feet.

Compensation at a Glance:
Salary Range: 4,117 Monthly
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
